Shirinisara has been serving Toronto’s Iranian Community and pastry lovers since 1991. It was first established in 1978 in an influent northern suburb of Tehran, Iran. Vida Malek, the previous owner, opened her own bakery on the ground floor of her father’s house in Iran. Her high-end French-style pastries became extremely popular, even the Iranian royal family placed special orders with them. After the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Vida alongside her husband, Nader Malek, faced obstacles that made it difficult for them to continue the business in Iran and decided to carry on their famous bakery in Canada. In February 2016, the couple decided to start their fabulous retirement life and handed over their business to Elaheh and Amir whom they could trust like their own children. Using the traditional recipes Elaheh continued offering exquisite Persian cookies and French-style pastries to lovely people of Toronto. At Shirinisara, we owe our reputation to the commitment to using only the finest ingredients and natural flavors. Everything is freshly prepared in the back kitchen of our shop located at Leslie Street just north of York Mills. Our pastry house has been proudly serving our fresh baked goods at Pusateri’s and Yummy Market. We are artisans of happiness, dedicated to pleasing your palates!
